Facebook Messenger Update Brings Siri Integration, HD Video Calls, and AI Features

Facebook has rolled out a significant update for Messenger, adding features designed to enhance user convenience and communication quality.

iPhone users can now use Siri for hands-free calls and messaging on Messenger. By saying, “Hey Siri, message [name] on Messenger,” users can send texts or initiate calls without touching their device.

The update also mirrors Apple’s FaceTime functionality by introducing audio and video voice messages, allowing users to leave personalized messages if calls go unanswered.

Another major enhancement is HD video calling, now enabled by default for Wi-Fi calls, with an option to activate it for cellular calls via settings. Combined with background noise suppression and voice isolation, Messenger offers crystal-clear communication for users.

Looking ahead, Messenger plans to introduce AI-powered video call backgrounds, enabling users to create dynamic, personalized virtual environments during calls. Accessible via the effects menu, this feature is part of Meta’s broader push to integrate AI across its platforms.

With these updates, Facebook Messenger continues to evolve as a versatile communication platform, offering seamless, high-quality interactions that cater to diverse user needs.
