Apple has just released a new firmware update for some of its AirPods models. The update is now available for AirPods Pro (1st generation), AirPods Max (Lightning), AirPods 2, and AirPods 3.
The new firmware version is 6F21, replacing the previous version 6A326.
Apple has not shared any specific details about what’s new in this update. However, it is likely focused on fixing bugs and improving the performance of these AirPods models.
Unfortunately, there is no update for AirPods Pro (2nd generation) or AirPods 4 models yet.
To check if your AirPods have the latest firmware, follow these steps:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Go to Bluetooth and find your AirPods.
- Tap the “i” next to your AirPods, and you will see the firmware version.
It is important to note that you cannot manually update your AirPods. Apple automatically updates the firmware when they are connected to a nearby iPhone, iPad, or Mac and charged.
