Redmi has officially announced the launch of its Turbo 4 smartphone on January 2, 2025, in China. This will be the first smartphone to feature MediaTek’s new Dimensity 8400-Ultra chipset, offering powerful performance and efficiency.
The Turbo 4 is packed with standout features, including a massive 6,550mAh battery that can handle up to 1,600 charge cycles over four years. Early buyers will benefit from a five-year battery warranty, allowing free replacement if the battery health drops below 80%. Additionally, the phone is designed to withstand extreme conditions, with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance and a dual-boost chip for cold weather performance down to -35°C.
Other highlights include a 6.67-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. For photography, the device offers a 50MP main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP front camera for selfies.
The Turbo 4 runs on Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 and supports up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Available in three colors—white, black, and blue—the phone is expected to retail for approximately $275.
With its robust specs and durability, the Redmi Turbo 4 is set to make a strong impression in 2025.
