Apple will hold its first event of the year on Tuesday, May 7, at 7 a.m. Pacific Time, with a live stream available on Apple.com and YouTube.
How long will the event last? In his newsletter today, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman stated that the video will last “about 35 minutes.”
Apple is likely to introduce new iPad Pro and iPad Air models and improved Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard accessories.
Here are the current rumors:
Two new iPad Pro versions will have the M4 CPU, OLED panels, a slimmer enclosure, thinner bezels, a matte screen option, a landscape-oriented front camera, and other design tweaks, possibly including MagSafe wireless charging.
There are two new iPad Air variants with the M2 chip and a landscape-oriented front camera, including the first 12.9-inch iPad Air.
A redesigned Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro, with an aluminum casing, a larger trackpad, and other design changes.
The new Apple Pencil has haptic feedback and a “squeeze” motion for certain activities. Vision Pro support is also feasible. However, it may require visionOS 2.
The event takes place a little over a month before Apple’s annual developer conference, WWDC, which runs from June 10 to June 14.
