Apple TV App Finally Comes to Android Phones and Tablets

Apple has finally launched the Apple TV app for Android phones and tablets, allowing users to stream Apple TV+ content and the MLS Season Pass. Previously, Android users could only access Apple TV+ through a web browser, while the app was exclusive to Apple devices and select smart TVs.

The app, available on the Google Play Store, requires Android 10 or later. Users can sign in with an Apple ID or create an account within the app. Apple TV+ costs $9.99 monthly, while the MLS Season Pass is an optional add-on for $12.99 monthly or $79 per season. Friday Night Baseball is also included.

Notably, Android users won’t have access to the in-app store to rent or purchase movies. However, key features like Continue Watching, Watchlist, and offline downloads are available.

This long-overdue expansion is expected to boost Apple TV+ subscriptions globally.
