Belkin Expected to Sell Battery Pack Clip Accessory for Apple Vision Pro

A clip attachment for the headset’s battery pack is one of the first official accessories for Apple Vision Pro that Belkin will offer for sale. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the Belkin battery clip will be available in Apple retail stores and go on sale on February 2 in conjunction with the launch of the Vision Pro.

Although not wireless, the Apple Vision Pro headset is a stand-alone device. The Vision Pro battery is external and attaches to the headset using a magnetic mechanism, which helps lighten it. When using the battery, the user is supposed to keep it with them. When the battery is not in place, the Vision Pro cannot function.

Apple engineers were concerned that this design would alienate some customers during development. Women wearing dresses, for example, may need a more convenient pocket to hold the battery while using the headset.

Apple frequently collaborates with partners such as Belkin and Logitech to create essential product accessories. Still, it does not want to make them themselves, as the Vision Pro battery clip exemplifies.

Apple Vision Pro will be available for preorder on Friday, January 19. The first units will be delivered to customers on February 2nd. The device costs $3499 for a 256 GB model.
