Motorola has unveiled the Edge 50 in India, claiming it as the slimmest IP68-rated and MIL-810H certified smartphone. At just 7.79 mm thick, the Edge 50 combines rugged durability with a sleek profile, withstanding over 30 rigorous tests for extreme conditions.
The Edge 50 features a 6.7-inch curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The screen boasts a peak brightness of 1900 nits and supports 1 billion colors, offering a vibrant viewing experience.
Under the hood, it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The phone runs Android 14 with Motorola’s Hello UI and promises two years of software updates and three years of security patches.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the triple camera setup: a 50MP main camera with a Sony LYT-700C sensor, a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 13MP ultrawide lens. The 32MP front camera is ideal for high-quality selfies.
The Edge 50 comes with a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. It is available in Jungle Green, Peach Fuzz, and Koala Grey for INR 27,999 ($334). Sales begin August 8 via Flipkart and offline stores.
