The iPad lineup is predetermined for the year, but Apple is allegedly getting ready to reveal new Mac products this month. According to Bloomberg, Apple intends to make a new iPad announcement sometime in 2024.
To refresh your memory, Apple is currently working on many iPad improvements. This comprises an iPad mini with an A15 Bionic chip inside, an M2-powered iPad Air, and a spec-bumped version of the iPad entry-level device.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says in today’s Power On newsletter that he anticipates these iPad upgrades to be unveiled around next March. This void explains why Apple introduced the new Apple Pencil (USB-C) last week without accompanying iPad hardware.
Apple is also working on a more dramatic redesign of the iPad Pro series, which is expected to be the most significant update since the current version launched in 2018. It’s unknown whether these new iPad Pro devices will be available in March or later in the year. According to Gurman’s article today, Apple’s intention is to deliver “more minor iPad refreshers in March.”
