Samsung Set to Launch Triple-Folding Phone in 2025

Samsung is gearing up to introduce its first triple-folding smartphone in the second half of 2025, according to reports from Korean media. This innovative device will feature a G-shaped inward folding design, providing better screen protection compared to Huawei’s Mate XT Ultimate Design, which folds both inward and outward.

The new triple-foldable phone is expected to feature a massive 12.4-inch display when fully unfolded, making it a hybrid between a smartphone and a tablet. Samsung’s approach aims to avoid the screen breakage issues faced by the Mate XT, emphasizing durability with the unique inward folding design.

Production will be limited, with only 300,000 units reportedly planned for the initial release. This suggests a cautious market test, possibly restricted to South Korea and select Asian markets before a global expansion.

The pricing details remain unclear, but the premium design and technology could place the Samsung tri-fold among the most expensive foldable yet, potentially exceeding Huawei’s $3,000 Mate XT.

Samsung’s foldable lineup for 2025 is set to be expansive, with the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, and the rumored Z Flip 7 FE also expected. The triple-fold device will offer a unique form factor, blending productivity with portability.
