After releasing the first beta of iOS 17.2 last week, Apple is now releasing visionOS beta 5. Apple Vision Pro, like other devices, may be updated via the Settings app. Apple has been refining the UI and system noises, resolving problems, and adding some new features with prior betas ahead of the official debut of Vision Pro.
Vision Pro, for example, works best with the new AirPods Pro 2 with the USB-C charging case, as only these AirPods can send Lossless audio when coupled with the headset, according to visionOS beta 4. Apple has added several new accessibility settings and altered some of the symbols in beta 3.
Last month, the company informed developers that the App Store would be available in the Apple Vision Pro Developer Kit starting this autumn, so visionOS beta 5 may enable this. For the time being, developers using an Apple Vision Pro can only run their own apps as well as Apple apps.
It should be noted that the upgrade is only for Vision Pro hardware. The SDK and Simulator are still not up to date. According to Apple, Vision Pro will be available in the United States in early 2024, with a few additional nations following later that year.
