Zoom has just made a major upgrade to its webinar platform, now allowing up to 1 million attendees in a single event.
This expansion addresses the growing need for large-scale virtual gatherings, especially highlighted by recent high-profile political fundraisers.
Previously, Zoom’s maximum capacity was 100,000 participants, but the new tiered system includes options for 10,000, 50,000, 100,000, 250,000, 500,000, and up to 1 million attendees.
These new packages are available as single-use options, offering flexibility for organizers of large events.
The increase in capacity comes as political organizations, such as those supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign, have utilized Zoom for massive fundraising events.
A webinar with a million participants will cost around $100,000, which is considered reasonable given the scale.
With dedicated support from Zoom’s Event Services team, these webinars promise a seamless experience, making them ideal for businesses, public sector organizations, and entertainers looking to connect with large audiences.
Zoom’s latest update is set to revolutionize how we conduct and participate in virtual events.
