Google for Startups has introduced a new program called AI Academy to help accelerate the growth of AI startups in Pakistan and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Announced on Monday, this initiative aims to bring together more than 20 startups working on AI technologies.
The AI Academy will provide selected startups with tailored mentorship from Google’s top AI experts. They will also receive up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits to support their AI projects and experiments.
Additionally, the program offers valuable networking opportunities, allowing startups to connect and collaborate with others across the APAC region.
The main goal of the AI Academy is to fast-track startups by helping them build a “proof of concept” and develop a product roadmap. This will enable them to validate and improve their AI solutions quickly.
By using Google Cloud tools, startups can more efficiently integrate their innovations into their products, speeding up their path to market.
Farhan S. Qureshi, Google Pakistan’s country director, highlighted the significance of the program. He said, “Our AI Academy program shows Google’s dedication to growing AI across the APAC region.
We hope local startups will use this chance to enhance their AI solutions and strengthen the AI ecosystem.”
Applications for the AI Academy are open now and will close on August 16, 2024. For more details and to apply, visit the Google Startups homepage.
