According to a new certification from the China Quality Certification Centre, all iPhone 16 models can now charge up to 45W via USB-C.
This means the latest iPhones charge more than 50% faster than the iPhone 15 models, which topped out at about 29W.
Spotted by ShrimpApplePro, this certification confirms that the iPhone 16 series, including the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, supports this enhanced charging speed.
Previously, Apple had not officially announced this improvement, focusing instead on other features like longer battery life and new camera options.
For those planning to buy an iPhone 16, you might want to invest in a compatible high-speed USB-C charger to make the most of this faster charging capability.
This upgrade brings Apple’s charging speeds closer to those offered by many Android devices.
