Google Vids: AI-Enhanced Video Creation Tool Rolls Out for Google Workspace Users

Google has officially begun rolling out Google Vids, an AI-powered video creation tool integrated into its Workspace suite.

First introduced in April, this innovative tool aims to simplify video production by allowing users to create professional-quality videos without needing advanced editing skills.

Initially available to select Workspace Labs users, the tool is now expanding to Google Workspace accounts under Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise, and Education Plus plans.

Google Vids leverages the Gemini AI model, which helps users generate a video storyboard by analyzing prompts, files from Google Drive, and other user-provided media.

The tool includes features like Help Me Create, which provides a draft video complete with stock media, scene scripts, and background music based on the user’s prompts.

Users can adjust the storyboard, add or remove scenes, and even upload their own audio or video recordings for a more personalized touch.

Ideal for various business use cases, Google Vids can help customer service teams supplement help articles, create company updates, or produce training materials.

The tool is expected to remain free to Workspace users until December 31, 2025, after which some AI-powered features may come with usage limits.

Google Vids aims to enhance storytelling, especially in professional environments, by making video creation as accessible as creating a presentation in Google Slides or Docs.

Users can also record videos with their own voice or use AI-generated voiceovers, adding flexibility to their presentations and campaigns.

As Google Vids continues to roll out, users are advised to update their browsers for the best experience across supported platforms.
