Apple Expands into Saudi Arabia with Online Store and Flagship Retail Locations

Apple has unveiled plans to deepen its presence in Saudi Arabia, beginning with the launch of its online store in the summer of 2025. This move will provide customers direct access to Apple’s full product lineup and services in Arabic, enhancing their shopping experience.

The expansion continues with the opening of flagship Apple Stores in 2026, including a landmark store at Diriyah, a UNESCO World Heritage site near Riyadh. This marks Apple’s first direct retail presence in Saudi Arabia, complementing the hundreds of existing Apple Authorized Reseller locations.

Apple CEO Tim Cook shared his enthusiasm:
“We’re excited to bring the best of Apple to Saudi Arabia with the Apple Store online and iconic flagship stores. This expansion represents a commitment to helping customers explore their passions and take their ideas to the next level.”

Apple is also fostering talent development through initiatives like the all-women Apple Developer Academy in Riyadh, which has trained nearly 2,000 students since 2021. Graduates have contributed to the thriving app economy, with developer earnings growing by over 1,750% since 2019.

The company introduced its first coed Apple Foundation Program in 2024, focusing on app development and coding, with plans to expand it further in 2025.

Apple has invested over SAR 10 billion in Saudi businesses in the past five years, supporting local entrepreneurs and tech innovations like integrating Apple Pay into Riyadh’s metro system.

This expansion underscores Apple’s role in advancing technological development and economic growth in Saudi Arabia.
