LinkedIn has achieved a major milestone, surpassing $2 billion in premium subscription revenue over the last 12 months. Microsoft, its parent company, reported a 9% year-over-year increase in LinkedIn’s total revenue, reflecting the platform’s continued growth.
Despite this success, LinkedIn’s future growth appears more modest, with projections in the low- to mid-single digits due to challenges in its Talent Solutions segment. However, the platform’s investment in AI-powered tools has contributed to its rising premium subscriptions, which have grown by 50% in the past two years.
LinkedIn is estimated to have generated around $16.2 billion in total revenue in 2024, with premium subscriptions accounting for roughly 12.5% of that figure. While LinkedIn remains a strong player in Microsoft’s portfolio, the company’s AI sector is growing much faster, reaching $13 billion in annual revenue with a 175% increase from the previous year.
As LinkedIn continues to enhance its premium offerings and integrate AI-driven features, it remains a key player in the professional networking space, attracting more users to its paid membership tiers.
