Safari Technology Preview, an experimental browser that Apple first unveiled in March 2016, received a new update from Apple today. The purpose of Apple’s Safari Technology Preview is to test features that might be added to Safari releases in the future.
Fixes and updates for Media, Web Animations, Web API, Web Assembly, WebGL, HTMK, JavaScript, and Accessibility are included in Safari Technology Preview 184.
The most recent macOS releases from Apple, macOS Ventura, and macOS Sonoma are compatible with the current Safari Technology Preview release. These releases were made available in September 2023.
Anyone who has downloaded the browser can get the Safari Technology Preview update via the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences or System Settings. The Safari Technology Preview website has the update’s complete release notes.
Apple hopes to get user and developer input on its browser development process through the Safari Technology Preview. Safari Technology Preview is intended for developers, but it can be downloaded without a developer account and can be used in tandem with the current Safari browser.
