According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, iOS 18 will include an updated Home Screen that is “more customizable.” He revealed this today in his Power On newsletter but did not give any more specifics.
During WWDC, Apple’s annual developer conference, in June, the company will unveil iOS 18. RCS compatibility in the Messages app for better texting between iPhones and Android devices, new generative AI functionality for Siri and numerous apps, design tweaks, and more are among the other additions and changes rumored for the software update.
Gurman thinks that rather than emphasizing “generative AI features akin to ChatGPT,” Apple would prioritize new “AI tools that help manage your daily life” in iOS 18.
According to at least some Apple employees, Gurman reaffirmed that iOS 18 will be the largest software upgrade in iPhone history.
