Apple Podcasts for Amazon Alexa are Now Available in More Countries

On Tuesday, the company updated a support website to confirm the availability of Apple Podcasts on Alexa in many other countries. The connection works with either an Amazon Echo speaker or an Amazon Fire TV, including Alexa.

You must first download the Amazon Alexa app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android smartphone in order to enjoy Apple Podcasts with Alexa on a supported device. Go to Settings in the app and search the “Music & Podcasts” tab. Then, hit “Link New Service” and select Apple Podcasts. To proceed, you must authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID, or your password.

By default, you must inform Alexa that you want to listen to a podcast via Apple Podcasts. However, you can change the default podcast player in the Amazon Alexa app settings.

With today’s upgrade, the following nations now have Apple Podcasts integration:

Argentina, Australia, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, Finland, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
